Wagner hydraulic pumpsets and hydraulic power units range from engine driven set-ups, to pumps with electric motors, to self-contained hydraulic power units complete with reservoir. The pumpsets and power units are available in a number of sizes and configurations to suit any steering application requirements. Standard or custom made pumpsets and power units are made with quality components and high manufacturing standards to ensure efficient operation and long life. Hydraulic pumps are positive displacement vane pumps driven by main engine or AC electric motors and sized for continuous duty. Vane pumps offer longer life and greater reliability than variable displacement piston pumps and are more tolerant of contamination. Vane pumps are easily installed and parts are readily available around the world.

Engine Driven Hydraulic Pumps

Engine driven hydraulic pumps are sized to provide the specified rudder speed at engine idle. The pumps are available with optional built-in system relief valves and flow control orifices. Engine driven pumps can be belt driven or bolted directly to the engine.

Type 2B-MA Pumpsets

Type 2B-MA pumpsets are designed for non follow-up and full follow-up control systems. The pumpset consists of an AC electric motor and a close coupled vane pump. They are available in a wide range of voltages and pump capacities.

Type TA Hydraulic Power Units

The TA power units are completely self-contained units consisting of an AC electric motor and a vane pump. They include a reservoir with sight gauge, return line filter, suction strainer, inspection cover, solid state relay, junction box, and a filler/breather all mounted on a common frame. TA power units are available in a wide range of pump capacities, motor voltages, and horsepower.
